The Storm went undefeated 3-0 in poolplay at Titan Winterfest 15/16 tournament on March 7, and won 2-1 against MVC 16 after first set’s loss in Gold Semi-Final. The team fought hard in Gold Final match against the Titan 16, lost in third set (14-16) and took 2nd Place. Congratulations STORM !!!
BRYC American won 1st place Silver Bracket – Braddock Road 16 Invitational
BRYC 16 American team played well in the pool play against other strong teams with the record 3-3, and then went on undefeated in Silver Bracket (4-0) and took 1st place in Silver Bracket. Way to go Team STORM !
BRYC16 American takes 3rd place - Maryland Juniors MLK Challenge
The 16 American STORM team went undefeated 3- 0 on the first day of tournament. On the second day, they won the first round of play off. They fought hard and lost in Gold Semi-final to the MEVC 16 Grit who eventually became the tournament's Champion team. Overall, BRYC16 American was ranked 3rd place in the tournament of 20 teams. Congratulations Team STORM !

Below is our normal practice schedule and locations:
- Tuesday 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM at Merritt Academy #1. Click here for direction.
- Thursday 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Irving Middle School #1. Click here for direction.
We will have extra practices or scrimage on different day at various locations. Players will be notified with specific instruction,
TEAM PHILOSOPHY
Coach Viet believes in teaching strong fundamentals with the goal of steady improvements in the various volleyball skills. He believes that seeing improvement in one skills will help develop the love of the game. This is true in any sport. To achieve this goal, players are expected to be focused, energetic, listening and doing things coaches ask, especially in practice and during game.
Coach Viet looks for the volleyball players with the following abilities.
- Ability to follow direction
- Ability to improve when coached
For the 16 American team, we will take it to the next level. We will solidify strong ball handling and proper footwork, then we will transition to team volleyball strategy from a defensive and offensive perspective. Winning and competing at a high level will a high priority.
